Karate Newsletter Nov/Dec 2007
Hello everybody,
Hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying your training. Those of you that are new welcome and we hope you enjoy your time at Kenshinkan.
Grading;
The next grading will be on Mon 3rd Dec after the normal lesson. This time the grading will take part in two sections. The sparring part of the grading will take part in the previous lesson which in this case is the 28th Nov. This is to help with time issues so the grading doesn’t go on too late for the young ones.
Christmas Holidays;
The club will be closed from the 24th Dec and re-open on the 7th Jan 2008. On Wed 19th Dec will be fun & games night so make sure you come along and have a great time. Feel free to bring any games that you want to play with.
Tabs;
Everybody is doing really well gaining their tabs and some of you will be able to grade at the next grading. Don’t be too disappointed if
you can’t grade this time, remember we all learn differently, your time will come!!
Stocking filla’s;
Kenshinkan have there very own Kata DVD featuring Sensei Mike, so if you’re stuck for something to put in your kids stockings this Christmas these DVD’s would be an ideal gift at a price if only £5. Plus they are an excellent training aid.
Also we keep in stock all necessary training equipment so if you are thinking of buying any mitts, gi’s ect for Christmas presents we would appreciate you purchasing these through Kenshinkan as all funds go towards the running of your club.
Letters;
Please keep all letters / newsletters in a safe place as they are useful to refer to for details and information relating to gradings and the running of the club.
Details;
Please make sure that you keep us up to date with any change of address or telephone numbers especially mobile numbers as this is the main way of which we contact people of any changes.

Hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying your training. Those of you that are new welcome and we hope you enjoy your time at Kenshinkan
Special visitor;
The adults of our club are in for a real treat because we have a special guest coming to show you how it’s really done. Shihan Steve Barnett is coming on the 29th Nov for a special night of training. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience being taught by one of the best in the business.
Gradings;
The next gradings will take place on the 8th and 15th of Dec. The kids will grade on the 8th adults on the 15th. Please let me ASAP if these dates are not convenient for any of you.
Christmas holidays;
The club will be closed from the 20th Dec and re-opens on the 6th Jan 2008. as last year the last night of training will be fun and games night so make sure you come to have a great time.
Also this year we are planning to have a Christmas party for the kids and possibly book a hall for an adults get together. Any ideas are welcome for venues or entertainments.

New syllabus;
The new syllabus is now ready to purchase priced at £7.50. It contains everything students need to know plus more and is an excellent reference tool. Those of you that have already bought one please remember to bring it to lessons with you, those of you that don’t, see Mike or myself and we can organise one for you. Although the syllabus is not compulsory
students will be at a disadvantage if they do not have one.
